You just had an employment interview for your dream job. The company is perfect for you, the pay is fabulous, and you actually enjoyed your interview! Or maybe not, but you are desperate for a job. What can you do now to further impress the interviewer? Send an employment interview follow up thank you letter.

The most important part of any thank you letter is simply to say “thank you;” for their time, for the opportunity, for the pleasure of visiting with them, etc. Write your thank you letter by hand if you have attractive hand writing, or print it from your computer. Use the same high-quality paper that you printed your resume on, and use a matching envelope.
